The two main musical influences for me have always been Jazz and Classical music, the great 19th and 20th century concertos were the real showcases of Piano and violin virtuosity, this collaboration with the gifted and versatile musician Peter Eades was a very rewarding partnership.
We wrote the entire concerto in six months, it had started life as a three minute tune we played at a gig and we just kept developing it.
